Germs There are four types of germs: Bacteria- strep throat,
Ice Cream – The Ice Cream program is a fundraiser run by RAP volunteers. Parents may purchase an ice cream card which allows their child to have ice cream each Friday throughout the school year. Cards are $35 for elementary and middle school students.
Volunteer Needs:
• Pass out ice cream each Friday.
• Ice cream coordinator – Ordering, monitoring inventory, classroom orders
• Elementary ice cream distribution – filled
• Middle school ice cream distribution (every Friday)
Staff Appreciation – Multiple events are held during the year to show our teachers and staff how much we appreciate all that they do. We host catered lunches and provide gifts and treats throughout the school year. In the spring, we recognize all staff during teacher appreciation week.
Volunteer Needs:
• Staff appreciation coordinator (elementary and middle) – plan/set-up
lunches, coordinate staff favorites list, plan treats and encouragements
throughout the year, plan for staff appreciation week.
• Volunteers to help implement lunches and ideas set up by the coordinator
Clothes Closet – The clothes closet is for those in need of gently used uniform items when we are in between uniform ordering periods. Parents will complete an online form requesting the items they need. Our clothes closet volunteers will pull those items from the closet and send home with the student. The clothes closet is stocked with uniform items donated by parents.
Volunteer Needs:
• Help organizing the closet at the Coordinator’s discretion
Uniforms/RAP Wear – RAP is responsible for ordering and distributing uniforms for ARS. We maintain the uniform website and work with our vendor on designs and orders. We also design a special RAP wear design each year which can be worn as a uniform. Orders are sorted, packaged, and delivered by RAP volunteers.
Volunteer Needs:
• Need a list of volunteers to call on to help with uniform sort
and distribution
ARS Fundraising – RAP coordinates several fundraisers for ARS throughout the school year. Past fundraisers have included: discount cards, butter braids, holiday shop, Great Wolf Lodge, restaurant nights, etc. We are always open to new fundraising ideas.
Volunteer Needs:
• Fundraising ideas and coordination
Book Fair – RAP hosts a Scholastic Book Fair twice a year (spring and fall).
The book fair is set up for a 2-week period and student and parents are allowed to shop.
Volunteer Needs:
• Volunteers are needed for set-up, break down and to man the fair during
school hours so that students can shop.
ARS Golf Classic & Gala – RAP hosts the annual ARS Golf Classic & Gala. Events include a golf tournament, live auction, and dinner. This is the largest ARS fundraiser of the year.
Volunteer Needs:
• Volunteers needed to help with securing sponsorships, golf teams and
auction items.
